Hi,

My name is Bruce Bell and I’m the official historian of St. Lawrence Hall and history columnist for the St. Lawrence and Downtown Community Bulletin here in Toronto.

I’ve also taken it upon myself to place commemorative plaques in and around our city pointing out various historical events that have happened in our county's past. I don't know what it's like where you live but our city does very little in the way of putting up historical plaques.

In March of this year I took it upon myself to quietly unveiled a plaque at Number 1 Toronto Street honouring Lount and Matthews who as you know were hanged on that site for their involvement in the Rebellion of 1837.
